| Takeshia Brown, 33, is the Director of Multicultural Affairs at Georgia Southern University. "My most favorite thing about my job is the people, the students, it's special to me when I am working with somebody... even if they know what they want to do... it's just like this bright shining moment. This person may have a lot of challenges and difficulties in life and may feel like they won't overcome it or this is just going to be one thing that keeps them down... they figure out what makes sense for them and I don't even need a thank you for that. Knowing that I helped that person get to that process is just helpful, not because I helped them, but because they found their version of success and they're living out loud." |
