This is the Mill Creek Regional Park sign before the entrance. Many recreational and athletic events are held here.
When you first come to the park , a list of rules is the first thing you see and they must be followed. Keeping other visitors and people safe is always focal for a public park.
Mill Creek Regional Park also features a fitness trail that goes around the park. It also hosts a waterpark and fountains near a lake.
Here is another view of the park, where the fountains are. On the other side, you'd find the waterpark.
This is a wider view of the waterpark on the back end of Mill Creek. The waterpark takes up basically the entire other half of the regional park.
Walking towards the other side, you should find the sign for the "Splash in the Boro" waterpark. Some of the staff members that work for the park, also work for the waterpark as well.
One of those staff members that work for both the park and the waterpark is Brandon. Brandon originally started working for the park in the spring of 2018.
Heading back to the center of the park, there was four teenagers in the baseball field practicing softball. All of them attend Statesboro High School.
This is Wade ready to throw the ball back to one of the others. "I used to play on the JV baseball team years ago, but now I just help my friends practices and stuff."
This is Jeffery and Wade both on the field, ready for the ball to come their way. Jeffery, Wade's younger sibling, also goes to the same high school and is currently a Junior.
Jeffery begins to pitch the ball back. "I played for the baseball team with my brother as well, but I quit during sophomore year."
Kaylee begins to pitch, while Samantha begins to hit. Both of them play for the Statesboro High Softball team.
Samantha is preparing to hit the ball. "I've been playing since around middle school and I just really enjoyed it since."
Wade and Bailey talking after the pitch. After a couple of pitches, Wade and the others talk for a bit and decide to head home.
After a long day, we finally see the leaving sign for the park. It is right next to the exit on the side near the waterpark.
