[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] Playing with Nature

Karen Kennedy is eating some homemade ice cream from the Elliot Farm in Lizella. Karen Kennedy is a 57-year-old woman who lives 10 minutes from the farm and comes to the Elliot farm two to three times a season.

5-year-old Elijah Carroll is entertaining the goats by feeding them hay. Elijah is a new visitor to the Elliot Farm but has always had a passion for all animals.
Twenty-one-year-old college students Mahek Gupta and Jasmine Mujawar are picking fresh strawberries from the garden at Elliot Farms. Both Mahek and Jasmine are first-time visitors when it comes to visiting the farm, but love experiencing nature

Jane and Ricky Sanders are sitting on the outside swing of Elliot Farms talking and enjoying some homemade strawberry ice cream. Jane and Ricky are between the ages of 73 and 75 and are very close friends with the owners of this farm.

Kaylin Gary is feeding the two goats corn feed that is being provided by the farm. Kaylin has become a frequent visitor of the Elliot farm since she started bringing her son and enjoys the peace from being outside.
Mahek Gupta is picking a few strawberries to put in the bucket that she can her friend can take with them. “With this being my first time picking strawberries here, I am excited to see how well I enjoyed it.”

Owner Russ Elliot and close-knit friends Jane and Sanders are enjoying the fresh ice cream made from the picked strawberries. Russ, Jane, and Ricky are talking about the hard work it takes to maintain and grow a farm like they have.

Rob and Gina Griggs are picking strawberries to fill up both baskets they received. Rob and Gina both recommend this place for all ages and advertise the Elliot Farms to everyone in the area.

Elijah Carroll is feeding one of the oldest goat hay and cord feed on the land. Elijah loves coming to the Elliot Farm and playing with the goats and enjoys the horses he played with.

The Elliot Farm is known to others from the area and neighboring areas for the fresh fruit and animals they provide. The Elliot’s pride themselves on providing some of the best fruit to others.

Karen Kennedy is holding a half-full basket of strawberries picked from the garden. “With this fresh fruit, I can add it to my foods to provide better nutrition for myself."

Mahek Gupta is looking at the ripe green strawberries that were produced by the Elliot Farm. “I have never done the whole picking fresh fruit picking but doing this will help with my lifestyle.”

Karen Kennedy picks strawberries from the Elliot Farm. “These strawberries are very sweet and what helps make the ice cream.”
Mahek and Jasmine are collecting fresh strawberries and putting them in one of the baskets. “Picking fresh fruit while standing in the hot sun is hard work.”

Elliot Farm is selling and providing grown onions in the business to add more diversity to their selling. Providing more than one product at a business draws more people in and the profit up.

Elijah is feeding the second oldest goat at the Elliot Farm. “Feeding the goats hay and corn is my favorite thing to do when I come to the farm.

Rob Griggs and his wife enjoying the sun while also picking some sweet strawberries that were grown on the farm. "What we like to do is freeze the strawberries, then when they are not in season we eat them."

These are some of the strawberries that the Elliot Farm has grown this past season. There were not many left considering there is little time left in the season for strawberries.

One of the goats on the farm is waiting for food and is sticking his neck through the fence to receive it. Elijah is one of about 10 people that visited the Elliot Farms this day.
