A group picture is being taken before the tournament starts. The tournament is being played on five courts at the fitness center at Keowee Key.
Rodger Chapman, 65, is reading a prayer before the tournament starts. He mentioned two people who were injured in a car accident and were unable to play.
Pam Turner (left) and Caroline Foster (right) are discussing their game strategy before the game. Pam says that caroline needs to be more aggressive in the game and not just practicing.
Kathy Benton (left) and Liz Turnure (right) are talking and getting ready for practice before their game. Liz is new to Keowee Key and this is her first tournament here.
Caroline and Pam are practicing before their game. They are both passing the ball back and forth with the other team.
Kathy and liz are hitting the ball back and forth with Pam and Caroline. Kathy and Liz are far up on the court while Caroline and Pam are farther back.
Caroline is practicing her swing before the game. "I enjoy a friendly practice before the game. We're all still friends here even when there is competition."
Leslie Colome and Robert Moser are in the stands waiting for the game to start. "These are our friends we always come out to support."
Kathy and Liz are set and ready for the first serve of the game. Caroline and Pam are serving first because they are home team.
Kathy runs up to the front of the court to hit the first serve back to the other team. Its important to be fast and aware of where the ball is going.
This is the scoreboard after the first game. After each game, the teams keep score for home and visitor sides.
Pam is serving the ball to the other side. Pam is going to be in the next Senior Olympics for tennis.
Caroline is telling Pam what she thinks they need to do to win the game. They are already up a couple points but Kathy and Liz can still come back.
Both teams are in the middle of the game and Pam is going for the ball up court. "Get it pam!"
Pam is looking off to her teammate Caroline ready to hit the ball. They just won another game and switched sides.
Bags and water are kept off to the side. The other team has a space where they keep their stuff during the game also.
They won another game and Pam is taking a moment to drink water. There is an umbrella beside her if she needs some shade.
Caroline is waiting for another game to start. Caroline used to be a professional photographer and she is now retired and enjoying her time at Keowee Key.
On the other court, a men's game is happening. When the women's game ended they congratulated the winning team.
This is before the ending score where the home team won 7-5. They congratulated each other and then went to watch the other teams in the tournament.
