Kristin Runarsdottir tying her shoes before a little workout session. Kristin is a handball player who had surgery done on her knee a couple a months ago, she toured her ACL.
Kristin walks to the grass pit she's going to be working out on. She never misses a day of a workout even though she's busy, she always finds the time.
Kristin stretches her thigh. She's been playing handball since she was 8 years old, this is the first time she has had a surgery since she started playing.
Kristin gets ready for her next stretch. It was a mental challenge for her to get her first major injury in her career, "this is a part of the sport, you gotta keep going," she said.
Kristin stretches her calfs and hamstrings. She is very positive person in general which helps her through the whole recovery.
Gets her last stretch before a little warm up jog. "I have a very good support system which keeps me motivated, and helps me to always push the extra mile in whatever i do," Kristin said.
Kristin about to jog a couple of shuttles. She likes going out for runs and loves biking, but when she does body/weight circuits she likes doing it in her backyard.

Kristin keeps squatting, finishing her sets. Her trainer tells her she can get back on the court in a little over 4 months, but she's trying everything in her power to get back earlier.
Kristin takes a little break before she starts her next set. She is very organised with her workouts and recovery.
