Pool manager keeps area clean while patrons are swimming. He is in charge of macon sure Healy Point Country Club is clean and tidy.
Assisting the manager, the gold course is also getting cut. "Im sweating more than him on this mower, he's at least got a fancy cart."
The lifeguards are ready for anything as they wait poolside. Watching the pool can become hectic or leisurely depending on the day.
The heat makes people retreat to the pool. A crowd forms in the shallow end for the lifeguards to watch.
There are young and old members that enjoy the club's pool. The older members use the corners to hide from the younger patrons.
The outdoor bar staff waits for swimmers to work up an appetite. "Once the noon swim break hits we will be busier than the pool."
Too young to work at the bar or lifeguard, the younger employees sign patrons in when they come to swim. "They make me work the most because I'm nicer than the other kids but I don't mind making more money."
The heat calls for more care on the courts. The court manager is cleaning the tennis courts for tonights match.
Not ready for the swim break, a child threatens to shoot the workers with water guns. The break still continued and the child was upset.
Traveling in style, the patrons use golf carts as a mode of transportation. The members will also drive their personal carts to the club.
One of the hottest days this summer has people showing up all day. This family is starting their short walk from parking lot to pool.
Coming and leaving, a regular passes his friends as they're leaving the pool as he's arriving. His son also brought a ball to play with during swim breaks.
Peaceful from a distance, the club offers a river walk. It looks peaceful away from all the action by the pool.
Forgotten for the pool, no one floats down the river today. The river was too hot to float in today so people chose the pool.
A beauty or hazard? The water hazards on the gold course doesn't seem so bad from this angle.
An American dream, the back of the club has an open field for children to play on. Kids normally litter this area during swim breaks.
Waiting for fun in the sun to begin. A family waits for the remains of the afternoon shower to dry so they can play on the playground.
The river is warm but it is still beautiful. It sits empty next to pool that is full of swimmers.
The mass of trees provide for wonderful natural shade. The foliage that grows on them also provides help for shade.
Although it is beautiful, the river carries unspoken dangers. A young girl recently drowned weeks ago due to a swimming accident.
