[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] Krusty the crab takes his morning routine with King

 By: Jamiya Coleman

Next door neighbor, King, takes his pet crab out for his morning weekend routine. His pet crab, Krusty, is a land crab that was given to King last year by a college friend.

King sits Krusty down for a few minutes. "Krusty usually likes the dark, but sometimes I like to give him a few minutes to adjust to the light and move around on his own," said King.

King allows Krusty to take his own adventure around the table as he waits for his laptop to power on. As summer courses have began, King likes to go outside in the cool mornings to complete school work.

King sits Krusty on ground. According to King, it doesn't take Krusty much time to begin walking around quickly on its own.

Krusty begins his adventure through King's backyard. Already within a minute, Krusty was seen traveling from the cement to the grass.

Krusty is placed back in his home for a short period of time. King was gathering Krusty's food options.

Krusty decides out of which two food options he'd rather devour. "He usually likes raspberries but I always make sure to offer his crab food as well," said King.

Krusty attempts to pick up the food of his choice ..the raspberry, of course. He didn't eat much of it.

King sits Krusty's rock shelter of water down on the ground. King stated that he always provides this to Krusty, and keeps it in his aquarium.

Krusty relaxes in the rock filled with water. According to King, Krusty is a busy crab, so he doesn't stay in one place for too long.

Krusty attempts to exit the rock. He was headed to his next destination.

My maltipoo, Marley, pays the neighbor a visit as he notices we were outside. Marley is typically scared of Krusty, so he doesn't play with it as much.

King takes a break to get some school work done. At some point, he had to place Krusty in his home (aquarium) due to being hard to watch from crawling everywhere constantly.

King fills the kiddy pool up with water. Being that Krusty is a land crab, he doesn't need a water environment to survive, but King likes to offer it sometimes just to see how he adjusts to it.

King places Krusty in the pool of water. He only added a low level of water due to wanting to make sure Krusty remained safe.

Krusty travels around in the water. He stayed in the pool for a few minutes.

King enters the tent in his background for Krusty to be able to walk around more safely. Krusty hasn't been in the tent much.

King allows Krusty to crawl in his hand. "His claws feel weird against my hand," said King.

Krusty investigates the items that are placed on the rug from his aquarium. All of the items contribute to the sea appearance in his aquarium.

Krusty is placed in his aquarium by King. As the sun comes out, King decided to head it before it got too hot.

King heads back inside along with Krusty and its aquarium. That is the end of what Krusty the crab's morning routine consisted of.
