[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION]: Disk Golf at Sweetwater

Brady, Dutch, and Tony stand in front of a sign for Sweetwater Parks Disk Golf course. Sweetwater park is in Thomson, Ga and holds many other sports events like Baseball.

A group of disk golf players walk to the first basket of the course. "It's always fun to play with friends." says Dutch.

Golf "disks" thrown into a basket, the chains along the side help catch the disk. (You do NOT call them frisbees, I learned that the hard way.) Disk golf is a lot like regular golf but instead of getting your ball into a hole, you're throwing a disk into a basket with as little throws as possible.

Brady throws his first disk of the game. The concrete slab he's standing on marks where the player should start for each basket.

Dutch attempts to make a toss into the basket. He's standing by where the disk from his previous throw landed.

Dutch stands and takes a drink by his disk bag. In disk golf, there's different disk that are weighed differently to preform certain throws, just like you have different clubs in golf.

Dutch and Tony share a smile while watching their friend play. "I've been playing for about three years." says Tony.

The players walk over a hill to a new basket. "I don't think I'm even going to be close to parr." says Brady.

Tony throws a disk from his previous toss. The course in Sweetwater has baskets in clear meadows and through the thick foliage of the forest.

Brady and Tony watch one of their disks fly into a basket. "I try to play a round at Sweetwater at least twice a week." says Brady.

Brady lines up a close shot. If you're within reaching distance of the basket it's allowed to drop in the disk or "tap in".

Dutch smiles at the camera after making a shot. "It's great out here, a lot of people come out here just for the view." says Tony.

Brady reels back for a long shot. "I'm trying to get it to go around the tree." he explains.

Dutch throws his disk between two trees and some foliage. There were multiple instances in this game where players had to throw through trees and bushes.

Tony throws his disk down a path. The sign to his right indicates what basket they're at and how many throws it takes to make parr.

Dutch throws one of his last disks of the game. "We played a good game today." he says.

Brady lines up his shot by holding the disk in front of his face. "I don't think it works but he sure does like doing it." says Tony.

Dutch and Tony walks to their disks. Disk golf may not be the most active of sports but it's a great way to stay active.

Tony and Dutch grab their disks out of the last basket of the game. "I'm glad to see the dog is still here." says Dutch.

The players walk away from the course as the evening cool sets in. After the game the three conversate for a bit and talk about when they will play again.

I took over 900 photos for this assignment so here's some of my favorites:
