Morgan Miller, greets the swimmers with a friendly face ready to take their order. “Working back here is the best, you can just sit here and smell fries all day.”
Morgan Miller begins preparing take out boxes for the lunch crowd. She started to double her normal amount due to incoming weather.
Bryce Herndan also starts preparing take out boxes. “When its as dark as it is outside, we prepare for everyone to order while they wait out the rain.”
The head-guard, Avery Kemper, gives the float to a struggling swimmer. Once the swimmer is safe they are able to laugh about the situation.
Avery Kemper’s light mood quickly drops as the bad weather approaches. “I hate telling people they have to get out, I know it ruins all the fun.”
Clay Bowie watches from a higher angle to see different views from the pool. “The deep end of the pool is 12ft, that’s deeper than most people are used to so have someone watching from high up.”
Clay has to stop the fun and get everyone out of the pool. When thunder and lightning are in the area the pool needs to be cleared at once.

The kitchen is full of smiles as the team enjoys their last few minutes alone. The team spreads out so the crowd does not gather in one spot.
Hannah Burns, another lifeguard on duty, informs families that there is thunder in the area. When there is thunder and lightning there cannot be anyone outside or around the pool.
Avery Kemper struggles to put the chairs in order. The wind is her enemy as it keeps blowing the chairs away.
Hannah Burns starts rolling the umbrellas down in hopes to save them from the wind. “Chasing an umbrella around the pool is not fun.”
Dennis Simpson, the tennis court manager, helps the lifeguards by rolling down the tennis umbrellas. Even when rolled down, they can still fly away.
Jay Finney starts frying chicken tenders for the hungry children. “I could go ahead and cook them before they even order, they always get the same thing.”
