Collin strums his ukulele on a staircase. Collin Scogin is an upcoming theater major at Georgia Southern.
Collin steps into the room he's staying in at a friends house. His parents recently moved out of Georgia leaving him without a home until he moves into campus.
Collin looks at his phone while laying on his bed. "It's been kinda hard having to figure it all out on my own." says Collin when talking about preparing for college.
A GSU hat hanging from a dresser in Collins room. "I can't wait to be there." he says.
Collin holds a accepted student guide from Georgia Southern. "I was accepted a couple months ago," he says.
Collin flips through the booklet Southern sent him. He explains that while he's happy he was accepted into college, there were a lot of things he was not prepared for.
Collin reads through his student guide. "I'm really worried about getting ready and paying for college." he says.
Boxes and a couple suitcases stacked against a wall in the room Collin is staying in. "This isn't even all of my stuff," he says, "some of it is still with my parents."
Collin digs through a box of his things. "I wish I could unpack but it really wouldn't be worth it." he says.
Collin continues to look through his things. He had about four boxes in the room.
Collin sorts through a basket of his laundry. "I think park of my struggle comes from me being trans." Collin says. "I've been trans since 7th grade."
Collin folds one of his shirts while sitting on the floor. "It's always been hard to get friends and family to accept me for who I am." he says.
Collin draws in his sketchbook. "I like to draw to pass the time and help with stress." he says.
Collin flips through his sketchbook while he explains his fears for his major. "I really want to be an actor, but I think it's going to be really hard to get far." he says
Collin preforms the final touches on one of his drawings. "I just don't know if I'm good enough to make it." he says. Acting is one of the hardest careers to become successful in.
Collin types on the keyboard on his laptop. "Something else I've been having problems with is paying for college." he says.
Collin sits on the floor with his laptop. "My family can't help me pay for school so I have to take out loans, which I don't really like doing." he says.

Collin sits on his bed while talking about his future plans. "I don't know how hard college is going to be, and I'm not sure I'm prepared for it." he says.
Collin looks out a window. "Even though I'm kinda scared for college...I'm excited at the same time." he says.
