Adrian Hobbs is a teacher at Langston Chapel Elementary School in Statesboro, but is working at Sallie Zetterower Elementary School over the Summer. He starts his day by walking down to meet his kids in the classroom.
He then looks for something else for the students to do for later on in the day. The kids always looking for something else once they finish their first task.
Hobbs later goes to his computer to do some work of his on. He is also a college student going to get his masters degree.
He said he learns a lot from the student in him being a student still himself.
He then goes in his book bag to look for something for class.
He looks through the book which has lessons in it for the kids as well as activities .
He is using to the book to plan ahead for next weeks lesson.
The curriculum is different from the one he is used to. In summer school he works with only second graders , but in the school year he teaches all elementary grades.
He always tries the know the material to the best of his abilities by reading over it to ensure the students get the most out of it.
This is the board what students use to learn their vowels and sounds for words.
He helps the students do the worksheet they are working on.
He helps the student directly one-on-one. "I try to make sure every child gets the attention they need," said Hobbs.
The students and teachers then go outside to let the students have recess. He is telling one of the students to get off the top of the monkey bars.
