This is Gary. Over the last six years, the living center has helped him out with his difficulty to walk.
These two are seen together all of the time. "When Miss Val said someone was coming to take pictures today, I had to put my pretty make up on," Lillian said.
This is Denise. She spends most of her time in the living room socializing with everyone that will give her the time of day.
As you can see, Denise is talking to anyone that will come by. "Now I've only been here about a month now, but I like it a lot better than where I was," Denise said.
This here is Evelyn talking to the Head Registered Nurse at SLC, Valerie. "She gets to talking and you forget sometimes that you need to deal with other residence," Valerie said.
"I was attempting to get up and walk around the house one evening, and I felt a sharp pain where the leg connects to the hip and I fell," Evelyn said. "I guess the lord isn't ready for me, I just know I have my room ready when I get there."
This is the hallway where all the rooms are the connected. The nurses go door to door and check on the residents as much as possible to give medicine and such.
She took out one of her word puzzle books and showed off the work she's been putting in. She also likes to do color books.
"I also like to play on my phone," Ester said. "If I'm not playing games, I am reading a series on my tablet."
This is the Physical Therapist Neal. He is about to perform a checkup on Ester.
The residents were thrilled to have someone visit them and talk. They liked talking about their children and grandchildren going to school.
"I love me some Miss Valerie now," said Denise. "She helped me and my daughter a lot when I moved here and I can't thank her enough."
This is the entrance to the living center. The door there is locked by a code so that the residents don't try to make a run for it.
This here is Treutlen Living Center. It's located in Soperton, Ga.
Here the residents are playing one of their favorite games, Uno. "I don't want to see any of my pictures on Facebook because every time y'all take pictures in here my granddaughter calls me to aggravate me about it," Barbra said.
As you can see again, Denise is out socializing again. She looks to win this game of Uno.
Lastly, Valerie goes back to her office to look over paperwork about medication. "I hate that my office is a mess, but they are renovating it now," Valerie said.
This here is a dual room, resided in by Denise and Ester. Head LPN Valerie crafted these nameplates herself.
This is Ester. She keeps herself busy in her room. She took out one of her word puzzle books and showed off the work she's been putting in. She also likes to do color books.
"I also like to play on my phone," Ester said. "If I'm not playing games, I am reading a series on my tablet."
