"What can a book do? It can do everything," said Conlan who recently celebrated her 20 year anniversary working at Read-it-Again Bookstore, a locally owned used book store. "I love to read. I love books. I was an English major, and then I went into the medical profession and then I worked in hospitals for 20 years. I was looking for a job for a minute, and I came here and never left because it was too good," Read-it-Again not only takes used books but also donates books back in to the local community. "We give a lot of books to kids and adults, it's just a great thing to do. The library gets a lot of our books, [and] we work with special interest projects. People know to come here to get a book because we're an independent bookstore and they want to support local businesses and our donations go far and wide. We've gone to natural disasters and helped schools rebuild their libraries."
