[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] Little League Regional Championship Game

 



Head coach, Daniel Hill, gets ready to pitch the first pitch of the game. "I want to give the boys the best shot to hit the ball, so I practice my pitching a good bit," said Thomas.

Brady Hill gets put on first for catcher, Hary Lane. Hill serves as designated runner.

Brady Hill up to bat. Hill is the youngest player in the league, being a six year old playing in the 8-10 year age group. 


Daniel Hill arguing with the umpire on a bad call. "I try not to argue with the umpires, but sometimes I have to," said Hill. 


Jacob Clayton takes the plate. Clayton hit a double, earning the team's first run of the game. 


Carter Godbee batting first in the third inning. Godbee hit a pop-fly that was caught in the outfield. 


Davis Sturkie running to first base. This was Sturkie's first time on base this game. 


Assistant Coach, Franklin Lane, gives the batter advice. "I like to play first base coach so I can calm their nerves and give them guidance," said Lane. 


Hardy Lane gets behind home plate to play catcher. This is Lane's first game playing the catcher position.
 

Daniel Hill gathers the team for a pep-talk. The game ended after this inning, the team earning a 6-18 loss.


Daniel Hill gathers with umpires to accept tournament elimination. Awards are given out after being officially eliminated. 


Assistant coaches Franklin Lane and Ben Joiner line up with the team. "I hate to see the team lose, but the boys gave it their all, and that is all I can ask for," states Lane.  


Hardy Lane accepts award. Lane had the best statistics for this game. 


Brady Hill shakes umpire's hand. This was Hill's first tournament. 


Liam Hege accepts award from head coach. Hege played shortstop. 


The team and coaches gather for a post-game talk. "I never want to show my frustration with them after the game, so we keep our talks more motivational," said Hill.
