A close up photo of Dawson's lilyturfs plant, better known as monkey grass. Lilyturfs spread extremely fast, needing barriers to stop the rapid growth of the plant.

Dawson pulling the weeds growing in his garden. "These weeds pop up like crazy. I just  moved here and I've already had to pick them out like three times."

Dawson watering the plants in his plant bed. "I try to water these plants every other day to make sure they don't dry up and die."

Dawson trimming the grass around his peony plants with a weed wacker. Peonies are in season during the late spring or early months of the summer.

Dawson laying out Kentucky 31 tall fescue grass seed with a seed spreader. Kentucky 31 is a popular type of grass across the warmer states in the United States due to its resistance to droughts and heat.
