"I’m the Patient Experience Director at Advent Health Redmond here in Rome, Georgia. It’s a big job where I ensure patients feel cared for, not just physically, but emotionally as well. When I get home, I need a way to fully unplug. I live up in the mountains just outside of Rome, and there’s a big window in my house that looks out over the ridge. That’s where my telescope stays. Most nights, I sit by that window and look at the stars. I’ve always loved astrology and stargazing. During the pandemic, that quiet routine became my way to feel steady. I couldn’t control what was happening around me, but I could always count on the stars. Now it’s just part of who I am. I come home, make a cup of tea, and look up. It brings me peace."
