[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] 2025 Perfect Game Southeast Memorial Day Classic

This is the perfect game tournament banner placed in center field of East Cobb Complex's field 1. East Cobb complex is not owned by Perfect Game, so each year for the Southeast Memorial Day Classic Perfect Game decorates each field with branded banners and signs.


This picture shows the East Cobb Astros warming up for the first game of the tournament. In the center of the photo is Cade Willis, the starting center fielder for the Atros.


This photo shows umpire Mike Reynolds and his fellow umpire arriving for the first game of the 2025 tournament. Reynolds called balls and strikes behind the plate and his partner called the field for the first game.


This photograph shows the first at bat of the game between the East Cobb Astros and the Rabun Gap Rockies. The first batter of the game was center fielder Cade Willis, who hit a double to open up the tournament.


This picture shows the Rabun Gap Rockies starting pitcher Grayson Foster. According to team parents, Foster is the teams strongest pitcher and has had an impressive summer so far.


 This photo shows the Rabun Gap Rockies leadoff batter Griffin Ledbetter. Ledbetter stated "I've been hitting pretty good recently and I'm the fastest player on the team, so i've been leading off so there is nobody in front of me on the bases"

This photo shows a fielder's choice out where the second baseman stepped on second before the runner reached the base. The baserunner in the photo is Griffin Ledbetter who reached first base on a walk on the previous play.


This photo shows East Cobb Astros batter Will Tyler. In this plate appearance Tyler hit a hard line drive toward the pitcher who luckily reacted in time to catch the ball.


This picture shows East Cobb Astros left fielder Alex Carst catching a pop fly for the final out of the game. According to Carst baseball is his favorite hobby and he has played almost his whole life. 



This photo shows East Cobb Complex field 5. This photo was taken from behind a tree in the outfield to create and interesting view of the field.


This photo shows the sign for field three and a list of rules for playing there. In 2019 the East Cobb Complex remodeled their fields with astroturf so players are no longer allowed to wear metal cleats and chew seeds or gum.


This photo shows the first pitch of the game between the East Cobb Colt 45's and the Dunwoody Allstars. The pitcher shown in the photograph is Drew Holmes, a right handed pitcher with a strong breaking ball.



This picture shows the first run of the game between the Colt 45's and the Allstars. The pitcher Holmes threw a wild pitch with a runner on third base to allowed the first run of the game.


This photo shows Colt 45's shortstop Isaiah Walker. According to teammates Walker is the best fielder on the team. He has also had a great summer on the offensive side of the plate.


This photo shows the Allstars and the Colt 45's shaking hands after the game. The final score of the game was a 4-2 win for the Colt 45's.


This photo shows East Cobb Astros player Malachi Bennett standing on third base after starting their game with a triple against the Kennesaw Titans. After their first game, the Astros switched from black to orange jerseys because they were the home team this game. 


This photo shows the East Cobb Astros second baseman hitting a single. This single drove in the the runner Bennett who started the play on third base.


This photo shows player Malachi Bennett crossing the plate to score a run. Following Bennetts triple, a teammate hit a single to send the Astros up 1-0 in the first inning. 


This photo shows East Cobb Astros player Cameron Heinicke crossing the plate to score another run. After Heinicke's single drove in Bennett, two more hits drove in Heinicke to put the Astros up 2-0.



This picture shows field 1 at the East Cobb Complex. After many close games and great plays, day 2 of the Southeast Memorial Day Classic was complete.
