Artie is excitedly, waiting as his shoes are being put on. Every walk starts with proper shoes and preparation.
Artie is locked in and ready to roll in his stroller for his daily adventure. “ Ready for walk” shouted Artie.
Artie stops to admire the blooming flowers. The flowers are his favorite color blue, and it made him awe in wonder.
Artie feels the smoothness of the rocks, curious about its texture. He screamed “rock” and tried to pick up the biggest one he could find, unfortunately, it was too heavy and had to be left behind.
Arties, balloon escapes from his grasp due to particularly harsh gust of wind. This is a very bittersweet moment, as his favorite balloon drifted away and his walk continued.
Taking a break, Artie enjoys a healthy snack recharging for his exploration of Dixon Park. Eating his snacks outdoors makes the adventure even more enjoyable.
Artie flew high on the swings, with his arms tucked by his side. Swinging brings him joy and laughter.
With the biggest smile already slides down the slide inch by inch, allowing his laughter to fill the empty park. The excitement of sliding creates fun memories.
Artie confidently climbed the monkey bars, focusing on reaching the top independently. Climbing the monkey bars by himself, helps to build confidence and strength.
As he squats down, Artie is intrigued by the patterns in the grate underneath him. He is very curious of every day objects that surround him, especially if they have holes,
Artie stretched his arms and locked his feet attempting to climb this long tree branch. Climbing helps him to connect to nature and gain a sense of accomplishment as he tries something new.
Artie decides to relax on the soft grass, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his skin. Moments like these allow for a peaceful vibe.
With a pout and immobilized legs Artie collapses on the ground as he expresses his frustration at leaving the park. Tantrums are natural and are apart of childhood.
After a moment and renewed energy, Artie races after a squirrel, giggling at how fast the squirrel evades his chase. Moments like these reignite joy and excitement.
Artie waves goodbye to the park, knowing that he’s going to return tomorrow for more adventures. Saying goodbye is always hard, but it allows him to be filled with anticipation for tomorrow’s visit.
As the exploration continues, Artie spots and leaps into a pile of leaves, throwing them in every direction while bubbling with laughter. Nature provides a multitude of organic play opportunities.
Artie sharply turns around and spots a storm drain, wondering where It could lead. His endless supply of curiosity, fuels opportunities for learning and exploration.
Continuing on his adventure, home, Artie spots a little free library, he flips through colorful books to discover a new story to take home. Little libraries like these encourage reading and sharing while supporting the community.
Artie is almost home, and stops to admire a vibrant mural appreciating the beauty. Art displayed in public places inspires wonder.
Artie finally returns home, he smiles and is exhausted, filled with memories of today’s adventure. Home is the best place to relax after exhausting adventure.
