[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION] Pickleball tournament practice

Two pickleball teams discuss the rules before they go head-to-head in a friendly matchup. On the left side team A consists of Jason Starks and John Baker while on the right team B consists of Luis Gonzalez and Diego Garcia 

Starks makes the first serve for his team. These two teams are gearing up for the upcoming Serving for Shelter Pickleball fundraiser tournament.

Garcia attacks the serve made by team A as he recovers on defense. The upcoming pickleball tournament is approaching in only a matter of eight days.    

Starks strikes the serve on the defensive end after failing to capitalize on the offensive end. Starks has been actively playing the sport for five years. 

Garcia makes the quick swing as he saves the ball from the defensive end. Garcia has been looking forward to the upcoming tournament to showcase his skills. 

The ball shotguns out as Starks makes is first serve on offense for his team. This practice session means a lot to both teams as they all are interested in the tournaments big cash prize. 

 Baker and Starks wait for the defense to strike the ball back. Both of these teams have practiced together every week in preparation for the upcoming competition. 

 Athletic jump from Starks as he continues to fight towards a win. Team A have fallen behind in this matchup with cohesive teamwork from team B. 

 Garcia sends the ball back quickly to Baker. Both teams look to elevate each other's skill level for the matchup. 

Baker makes the save on the strike from Garcia. Baker has recently just started playing the sport. 

Gonzalez makes the serve on offense for his team. Both Gonzalez and Garica have been playing together as a team for over a year. 

A burst of excitement rises in Gonzalez as he secures the win for his team. This is the first round when for team B. 

Team B celebrates together as they conquer team A in a victory. This game between both teams is all about practice for the big tournament. 

Starks gives Baker advice as they talk over their recent defeat. Both of the teams will participate in one more round before they all leave. 

Garcia makes the first serve on offense for the final round. Both teams have been practicing every week for at least two hours every practice session. 

Starks makes the final save in a heated exchange between both teams. Starks has been the leader of his team keeping team A in the matchup. 

 A heated exchange as Garcia looks to secure the win. The final matchup between the teams has each side competing at a high level.   

 Team B takes another defeat in the final round of the pickleball tournament practice. This final matchup showcased both teams' skill level.  

Both teams acknowledge each team after the game. Each team will be competing next Saturday in the first Serving for Shelter Pickleball fundraiser tournament.

Each team have a post-game discussion. This practice matchup will only be a precursor of what the competition will look like next Saturday.
