[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION] Play Hard, Laugh Harder

The Grube Recreation Activity Center is located on the Statesboro campus at Georgia Southern University. This building is central for athletes ranging from beginners to experienced collegiate athletes and has activities for everyone. 

The basketball courts sit empty, ready for players. In the fall these courts are busy most times of the day, but in the summer, they are usually on the emptier side. 

Blackwell checks the ball before they begin. "One time our ball was super overinflated...that was fun" said Blackwell. 

Lansing Jenkins and Zack Blackwell warm up by shooting randomly. Jenkins and Blackwell meet up to play basketball together at least once a week. 

Jenkins tries to make a run to the basket while Blackwell chases him. The game quickly turned competitive. 

Blackwell runs with the ball down the court. " Jenkins likes to airball it down the other side of the court sometimes. Guess who never goes to get it" said Blackwell. 

Blackwell looks for his shot while Jenkins tries to block him. "We really like playing together. We've been friends for a hot minute so it's all just fun and games for us" says Blackwell. 

Blackwell goes for a jump shot while Jenkins has his hand in his face. The game becomes quickly unserious and they start messing around. 

Blackwell, squatting down, rests. "We play a lot but geez all the running still takes it out of me sometimes" said Blackwell. 

Jenkins lays down at the half court eagle. " I wanna see if I can make it from here" said Jenkins. 

Blackwell gets ready to shoot a 3-pointer while Jenkins watches from his spot on the floor. Blackwell is the self proclaimed " king of free throws".  

Jenkins stares at Blackwell after he suggests playing a game of HORSE. " I just like to do funny shots honestly" said Jenkins. 

Jenkins tries to shoot backwards while jumping.  "Honestly, he's a lucky shot. A lot of his go in" said Blackwell. 

Blackwell goes for a standard shot. At this point they had both made all shots. 

Jenkins shoots the ball one handed with one leg bent while Blackwell watches. " I call this one the flamingo" said Jenkins. 

Blackwell imitates Jenkins while Jenkins blocks him. "This is rigged" yelled Blackwell after he missed. 

Jenkins shoots backwards through his legs. " Hey Zack bet ya 5 bucks I can make it" said Jenkins. Jenkins then owed Blackwell 5 bucks. 

Jenkins tries to hang on the rim while Blackwell prepares to make a shot. This is a common occurrence with Jenkins. 

Blackwell speaks to his phone set up for his "vlog time". "I'm about to school him" Blackwell says to his phone.  

Blackwell and Jenkins sit on a bench chatting after they are both tired of playing. " So, wanna play tomorrow?" Blackwell asks. "Yea, I got nothing else to do" said Jenkins.
