[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] A Touristic Afternoon on River Street

Plant Riverside District on Savannah, Georgia's River Street draws attention with historical smokestacks. The 176-foot smokestacks serve in remembrance of a previous power plant, now a site consisting of hotels, restaurants, and a rooftop bar.

Savannah Souvenirs advertises items with vibrant sign admits River Street. This establishment is great for finding keepsakes as reminders for tourists' visit to the Hostess City.


Savannah Trolley Tours advertises famous trolley rides with carts located throughout River Street. Tours help boost small business engagement. 


Savannah Trolleys offer a variety of tour times for those visiting Savannah to ride along and learn about the city. The trolleys make their way through the areas that make Savannah special, including River Street.
 


A boat statue featured on River Street as a fountain overlooking the river. Many individuals stop here for photos and read about the history of transportation and logistics on River Street. 


Chart House restaurant highlights its food offerings. River Street offers a wide variety of food choices for all those who visit. 


Plant Riverside is a booming addition to River Street. Those visiting can find a variety of restaurants, hotels, activities, and museums in the heart of Savannah.


Visitors use the Plant Riverside map and directory to make their way through the extensive River Street. The vast offerings of the area can often leave visitors at a loss of where to begin.


A smiling dog is seen strolling the cobblestone streets. River Street is for all- children, elderly, families, friends, and furry friends.


Savannah, Georgia's River Street boasts of its diverse greenery and shrubbery. Through design choices, the street aims to bring nature and greens to a rather brick-filled area. 


A large ship passes through the renown Savannah bridge. Sight-seeing the variety of ships and boats that make their way through the water-way is a highlight of River Street.

The iconic Savannah Queen is a highly sought after excursion for visitors. This ship serves as transportation across the river for some, and as a way for discovering the city for others. 



A brown bird is enjoying the breeze from the riverfront. Even with much industry and brick surrounding River Street, there is no lack of nature and animals.
