This photo shows Munashe Jones starting her day at the front desk. This is where she checks in members and answers questions they may have.
Here she is answering a phone call about hours for the 4th of July. She double-checks the information on their website and then relays it to the customer.
In this photo, she demonstrates handing out equipment that members may need while they are. Basketballs, towels, ice, and other things as needed.
In this photo, she is showing the medical first aid kit they have. If someone gets a cut or needs something quick for an incident that happened while there.
here she is giving a guest a donut that they had from earlier. Sometimes she will bring snacks and if a guest ask for some she says she doesn't mind sharing.
Here she is walking up the steps to get to the workout section of the gym. This is where they have the equipment for guests to work out.
Once upstairs, she stays behind the desk to hand out towels, chalk, and other supplies. After a while, she will walk around and clean the equipment.
Here she's beginning to clean equipment. She says they do this because not everyone doesn't wipe the equipment down after they're done using it.
Here she is rearranging a weight that a guest left out. "No matter how many signs we put up, people still don't return the weights when finished."
As the day is coming to an end, she speeds up the process of cleaning up. By straightening up workout belts.
She then moves into hangup clips that people have left lying around. "This is one of my least favorite things to do because I can barely reach the hooks."
Here she is rearranging more equipment. "I'd much rather open than close because there will always be equipment to move back."
Here she is making sure all of the benches are laid back down flat. She does this so everyone the next day can set the bench to their desired level.
Here she is just doing some "spot" cleaning. "If I see an area, especially the water fountains or hand sanitizer stations needs wiping down, I will."
The last thing she does is takes the dirty towels downstairs to be washed. She says that this process is done multiple times a day, depending on how much traffic comes through the gym.
Here she is reading over the closing checklist and checking off everything that has been completed. This is the system that they have in place to make sure nothing is left unfinished.
Now that she is back downstairs, she points out that the gym offers club sports and members can compete in different activities. "I'm new to working here, but we offer new activities every month."
She then walks out to the court to see if anything has been left behind to put into the lost and found. She does this to make sure anything left behind is still accounted for.
Then she empties the trash and pits a new bag into the trash can. She says she takes the trash out every closing shift to ensure empty cans for guests the next day.
She then proceeds to lock the door and turn the lights out shortly after. "When it's time to go, I'm ready to go."
