[Photostory 4 Struggle] Working out.
By:Zamir Freeman
Cayden kicks things off with a round of jumping jacks to warm up. The sun's already beating down, and he's just getting started.
Walking with dumbells in each hand, he begins his first real workout. He's nervous but determined to take his first step towards losing weight.
Starting off slow, he gets intom a light jog. It's already hot outside, which is making everything worse.
He keeps moving, pushing through the warm-up. I'm off to the side watching him fight the urge to stop.
Taking his first water break, he stops in front of my truck. Breaks like this come often when you are a beginner.
He pours water over his head, trying to cool off. The heat's no joke, and he's not used to this kind of work.
The weights hit the ground next to sweat and water. It's clear the effort is starting to take a toll.
He leans over, completley gasses after the last set. Even breathing feels like a workout now.
He sits down with his head down, catchinghis breath. Two-minute breaks feel like nothing when you're this tired.
From the front, the exhaustion is even more obvious. He's quiet, just trying to pull himself together.
Framed through the steps, he's still seated, still struggling. Even resting, you can tell he's deep in his head.
Now with his head in his hand, he's trying to recover. It's one of those moments where quitting probably sounds tempting.
He heads back out to start his laps. Four total, and every one is a challenge in this heat.
He continues his run and can only think about his end results.Cayden plays in his school band but isn;t active in any physical exercising activities.
Another lap, same determination. Each run looks harder, but he's still moving.
Caught mid-run on his second lap, he keeps pushing, His pace has slowed, but he's not stopping.
He gets closer with each step, stilkl running. You can see how tired he is.
His face says everything_ he's drained but still going. This is where the real mental battle kicks in.
After everything, he collapses inside on the floor. Even our dog walks over slowly, like she knows what he has been through.
Three empty water bottles lined up after the workout.Proof that he gave it everything that he had.
