Karlee Wells is a senior diver on the Georgia Southern Women's swimming and diving team, and Grace Brunk is a sophomore swimmer.

Karlee Wells is leaning forward to watch her teammate dive. She and other divers from different teams were warming up on the 5-meter platform in preparation for the upcoming competition.

Karlee Wells is standing on the edge of the 5-meter platform. Her arms were up in the air in order to generate as much momentum as possible once she jumps off.

Karlee Wells is jumping off and twisting in the air. She was performing a dive called 5233d, where she did 1.5 flips and 1.5 twists before entering the water.

Karlee Wells is entering the water almost perfectly. In diving, you must enter the water as straight as possible in order to generate a small splash and get higher scores.

Karlee Wells is standing under the shower. Between dives, divers took warm showers to keep their muscles warm between exercises.

Karlee Wells is watching her dive on the TV. The camera recorded the entire practice, and the athletes were able to rewatch their dives to better understand corrections.

Karlee Wells is waiting for her turn to go on the diving board. Due to four different girls' diving teams being present, there was an order on when everyone was allowed to go.

Karlee Wells is adjusting the fulcrum. The fulcrum determines how bouncy the board is, and every diver can adjust it based on their preferences.

Karlee Wells is looking at the phone. Since diving requires a lot of mental strength, she tried to distract herself before the competition started to avoid getting too nervous.

The Florida Gulf Coast University team(front) and the Georgia Southern University team are cheering for their divers. Each team has about five to six divers and 20 to 25 swimmers.

Karlee Wells is jumping off the 1-meter diving board. Her favorite dive is 105b, which is 2.5 flips.

The board shows Karlee Wells' scores for a dive. She qualified for the Finale, where just eight out of 21 competitors compete.
