As the clock strikes 12, people begin filing in for this month’s Vintage Market, held at The Archive in downtown Statesboro. These are held every month at various locations throughout the city.
As she looks through the clothing rack, Alexa Little asks her friend which shirt she should buy. Little is a student at Georgia Southern, and tries to come to the markets every month.
Various washes and styles of jeans sit on display for customers to browse. Each pair was priced and clearly labeled with brand and size.
Encouraging a friend to buy a bag, Ivy Nash compliments her friend's choice while browsing spring fashion pieces. Nash enjoys the markets because of the different styles that are showcased.
Nash gives her friend an endearing smile as she holds up her new bag. Nash later decided to get a similar top to the one she is wearing.
As a customer browses her booth, Sarah Carpenter talks with her friend. Her booth consisted of handmade jewelry, keychains and buttons.
Making her choice on a pair of earrings, Savannah Young decides between two different options. Young loves jewelry and loves seeing the work from this booth.
After the customer made her choice, Carpenter began calculating the total price. The items ranged from $5-$25.
Young hands her earrings to Carpenter so she can package them up. She couldn’t decide which pair to get, so she chose both.
Making a deal with a customer, Nano Arraguin picks a price of $120 for a jacket. Arraguin has been at the vintage markets for over a year now.
Arraguin talks with a fellow vendor while customers browse his items. He had shoes, vintage jackets, t-shirts and more available.
About halfway through the market, it died down for some vendors, but this one stayed busy.
Two friends discuss which jacket to purchase. The two girls spent time at every booth before heading to Cool Beanz for coffee.
One of the vendors had a $5 pile of shirts for sale. Around 2 p.m., a line began to form as people dug through the pile.
One of the vendors had her top items on display, showcasing shoes, purses, wallets and more. They also had a chalkboard sign promoting their Instagram and Depop, a reselling site.
The busiest vendor had a $10 rack, filled with shirts, jeans and jackets. Throughout the day, it went through waves of popularity.
David, Klair and Daisy, a longtime group of friends, browse a clothing rack together. They spent the most time at this vendor’s booth, as they said this one had their style.
As the market starts to die down, Jayden Stone checks out vintage jackets. Stone used to be a vendor, but took a break for this one to be a customer.
Asking her boyfriend, Ben Williamson, his opinion on a shirt, Savannah Young prepares to grab a few options. They spent over 2 hours at the market, making sure they visited every booth.
As Williamson holds some shirts for Young, she continues to browse the t-shirts. At this time, it was nearing the end of the event.
