[PHOTOSTORY 4: WORK SHIFT] Willow Lake Golf Club

The day begins at the Willow Lake Golf Club with maps, score cards, and golf balls ready for the day's play. Pro shop receptionist, Cate Wilcox, ensures golfers have everything they need for a great day on the course.

Wilcox restocks the cooler, starting the day with cold beverages. The pro shop keeps a variety of drinks on deck to keep golfers refreshed during their rounds.

Wilcox straightens up the snack stand and restocks items that are low. A fan favorite seemed to be the peanut butter crackers, which were already running low.

She straightens up the merchandise and takes inventory on the collared shirts. "You'd be surprised how many people come in and buy these just to wear for the day," said Wilcox.

The first golfers of the day are gearing up to tee off on their first hole. It was a beautiful day in Metter, Ga at Willow Lake Golf Club.

Wilcox hands over the keys to cart #3 for an 18-hole round. Service with a smile seems to be a priority for Wilcox and all of the employees at the club as a whole.

Wilcox checks customers out for their rounds and refreshments. The mid-morning rush was beginning to pick up.

She serves a customer with an ice cold Coca-Cola. The sun was shining and it was a warm day on the course.

Catching a quick break, Wilcox works on next week's work schedule. Not long after being hired, she was given a promotion that came with creating the work schedule for all of the course employees.

She took the time to quickly straighten up the merchandise and restock the golf balls. The after lunch rush was about to begin.

The phone rings as she finishes straightening up and she answers with that southern hospitality charm we all know and love. "Willow Lake Golf Club, this is Cate, how may I help you?" she said.

Calls are flooding in to beat the deadline for the course's upcoming tournament. Wilcox collects the players information and gets them signed up.

Wilcox takes a moment to get a head start on documenting the money she has received thus far in her shift. She carefully writes down the information, being sure to leave no room for error.

Wilcox restoks the golf ball shelf yet again. "We're really going though them today," said Wilcox. "Guess that's what a breezy day on the course will do!"

She helps a customer as they come in to pay the balance on their account. She got them in and out in a timely manner.

The weather is still beautiful in Metter, Ga with the perfect mix of sunshine and a slight breeze. "Days like today are always the best for the club," said Wilcox.

As her shift comes to an end, she begins her duties before clocking out. She was quick to point out that of these, vacuuming is her lest favorite.

Wilcox puts all of the checks she received into the system. She explained that this is a tedious task that becomes a little nerve-wracking.

She counts the cash and makes sure everything adds up before clocking out. She triple checked herself before closing the drawer and writing down the amount.

Wilcox does a final walk through of the pro shop and clocks out for the day. "Working at Willow Lake Golf Club, every day is a great day," she said.
