[PHOTOSTORY 3: A DAY IN THE LIFE] BARBERSHOP FUN

 By: Davon Johnson

Precise Kuts barbershop on 406 Fair Road offers many options for people who want to change up their hairstyle. Call now and get an appointment to get your haircut.

The barbershop opens for business. It's time to get a nice haircut before the weekend!

The barbershop chair customers seat for a good cut. Barbers here are ready for some nice conversations while they give you the haircut you ask for.

The clippers, brushes, and other tools sit on the table for use. It is time to get started on some nice haircuts.

Jordan Miller, left, and Ann Rodgers wait for their turn to sit in the chair for a haircut. In the meantime, they play on their phones and rest.

The TV in the shop plays ESPN while everyone waits for their turn. Everyone was discussing the middle of the playoffs while popular sports shows were on.

Starbucks starts the day for the barber. It is cutting time with a little caffeine.

Antwan Woden, left, cuts Michael Sello's hair to start his day. Antwan has been cutting hair for fourteen years.

Antwan works on a fade with Michael's hair "Customers normally get fades when they come in here, and it was actually one of the first hairstyles I learned."

Antwan checks to see if the haircut lines up the way he wants it to be. "I am careful when it comes to making sure everything looks good when I do hair."

Antwan cuts behind the ear of the customer. It is important to get every spot when cutting hair.

Antwan clips the side of the customer's head. "Doing the side of the head is the hardest to do because some barbers make mistakes and cut the skin of their customer's head."

Antwan uses a card and hair liner stray to make the edge of the hair look good. This is the last step of the process.

Antwan fixes the loose ends of his customer's head. "I always look back over to make sure I get everything before anyone leaves their chair."

Antwan whips under the chin to get any extra hair off the face. He is done with the finished product of his work.

Some cleaning equipment is in the shop for the seats. COVID is still going around so having these supplies is important.

Antwan sprays the seat to clean it. He does this after every customer to keep everything as clean as possible.

Antwan whips down the seat, and Michael gets ready to pay him for his services. No time to waste when it comes to cleaning off the chairs.

The two daps each other up for a job well done. The customer leaves the shop as a satisfied customer.

The tools are in the box and ready for the next customer. The day is only getting started.
