The menu sits above the counter at Three Tree coffee shop in Statesboro, Georgia. The TV menu is used as an assistant to help customers choose their drink.
Barista Naomi takes the order of Three Tree customer Brandon Bradford. Along with coffee, Three Tree also serves pastries and other treats.
A Tree logo is poured into the coffee. Latte art is a speciality at three tree. It adds an extra flair to the already high quality bean.
Ana works on the espresso machine for a cappuccino. "Most of our drinks have espresso."
Ana attends to a customer. While baristas are "on bar," they must be able to work and give customers a pleasant experience.
A wall of merchandise and coffee is for sale at all times in the store. "Much of Three Tree's revenue comes from selling beans," Naomi says.
Naomi pours a cappucino. "A cappucino is between a macchiato and a latte," says Naomi.
Naomi holds the coffee as she pours the milk into the cappucino. "These drinks tend to have the best espresso to milk ratio," says Naomi.
Ana attends to customers after they take their drinks. It can be difficult to make drinks for customers and attend to them at the same time.
Naomi smiles as she begins to take a customer's orders. "We have to care for the customer here at Three Tree," says Naomi.
A news paper sits on top of the counter at Three Tree coffee shop. Many people come into the shop to sit down and read the newspaper.
Naomi focuses in as she makes espresso for a drink. It is not uncommon for people to add cinnamon and vanilla to espresso drinks.
Naomi lets the coffee pour after she has completed the espresso making process. "Great espresso takes time, you won't get this quality at Starbucks," says Naomi.
Naomi pours to create latte art. The pour must be strategic to create the best art. "Even if you get a take-away cup, we will still draw on your coffee, says Naomi.
Naomi displays her finished latte art. "It usually takes a while to be able to do it well, new hires sometimes compete to see who can do the best art," says Naomi.
The Three Tree logo sits on a straw can. Three tree is a global brand that inspires to "empower the farmer." "We want to empower farmers who farm the best beans," says Janna.
Janna pours a second pour-over coffee. "These tend to take around five minutes," says Janna.
Janna stands as she finishes pouring a pour-over coffee. "Coffee from Ethiopia is our most popular choice of bean."
Naomi stands ready to give a customer their coffee. To go coffee is available in both eight and 12 ounce cups.
