[PHOTOSTORY 1: OUTDOORS] A beautiful but busy day at the Clark Community Park in Stockbridge, GA

By: Martin Yates

This is the entrance to the lovely but quaint community park. This park holds a special place in my family, as this is where my family would take me to play as a kid.

This is a trash can within the park that has the city of Stockbridge engraved within. Something interesting to note is that this trash can was one of the very first pieces of material placed inside of this park.

This is an overview of the main attraction here at Clark Community Park, what is called the "jungle". The Jungle provides kids the opportunity to be free and escape the confines of a "play room".

Maxine is watching her children play in the "play jungle". Maxine is a single mother that brings her 2 kids to the park every Friday and Saturday.

This is Maxine's two kids, Jackson, and Jason. Jackson and Jason both love Tarzan and Spiderman, and coming to this part of the park makes them feel like superheroes.

This is Felicia watching her three kids play on the play ground from the overhead pavilion. Felicia states that it was too hot to sit in the sun, as it just drains the energy out of you.

Felicia and her three kids exiting the park. Before departing she said that she'll have to come back on a much cooler day.

This is Jamal, 26, and one of his three daughters, Zoey, 3, playing at one of the activity stations in the park. Jamal doesn't have sole custody of his children so when he gets time he makes sure they have fun, so he brings them to the park and lets them play.

This is Jamal and Zoey again as he attempts to get Zoey down the slide. Zoey didn't want to slide down because the slide was too hot and didn't want to burn herself.

Jamal and his youngest daughter Zoey playing on a hamster wheel. Jamal states that "Zoey is the boss of me, whatever she says goes" as she is point for him to do something.

This is Jamal, Makayla, Zoey, and Sydney, asking for a picture in the park. Today is the young lady on the far rights birthday (Makayla), as she turns 8 years old.

Mariah is speed walking around the track in the park. Mariah made it known that her favorite color is pink, and that is because she is a breast cancer survivor.

This is Jennay reaching for her dog, Roscoe's paw to make sure he didn't cut himself while playing in the park. Roscoe is three years old and loves to play fetch.

Roscoe is very aware of his surroundings and this image displays that perfectly. As I approached Jennay, Roscoes pasture straightened up to ensure protection of Jennay.

Jen is observing the different types of leaves in the wooded area in the park. Jen is a "Green thumb", loves to look at different plants and flowers any chance she gets.

This is a plant that Jen and I found to look interesting while walking in the park. Jen first started planting in 2003, and has loved every second of it, as it brings her "peace and comfort".

This is a beautiful bed of flowers that I spotted on my path back to the front of the park. The variation of different flowers intrigued me, and the pattern of the flowers are extremely fascinating.

This image of a collection of tall trees was taken in the park. What may just look like normal trees to some, this is peace and happiness to me.

This was a very colorful sign that I caught a picture of while leaving the park. This event provides inclusion from all ages to partake in something that can be considered bonding and excerise all in one.

This is a captured image of the park rules. The reason I made sure the actual rules were unable to read is because this park is ran by the community people, and one of the signs said "no pets allowed", and we as the community feel that dogs should have the freedom to come and play if they want. So we see the sign that says 'Park Rules' but what those rules consist of, is what we do not see as a community.
