 By: Isabella Kicklighter

Two Rivers Gun Range is nestled on the backroads of southeast Georgia between the cities of Kingsland and Folkston. The long driveway leads visitors to two ranges and a main office building where they can check in for the day.

The first range that greets guest is the pistol range. The pistol range features an array of targets which are made from solid steal and move to reveal a new neon color on the other side of the steal when they are hit.

The second range on the premises is the rifle range. This range is one of seven of its kind in the nation, it features a fully digital target system that tracks and monitors all shots that hit the targets.

Range master, Kevin Wilborn is checking the system at the beginning of the day to make sure it is ready for customers to begin shooting. The entire system can be accessed by guest from a QR code which will display the guest's progress on their lane while shooting.

Range master Wilborn continues to check the shooting system to make sure there will be no flaws in the system to ensure the best experience. Since this system is one of seven in the nation that makes this range a popular spot for shooting enthusiast from all around the surrounding area including north Florida.

Wilborn asks fellow Range Officer Dennis Downs to double check the system for the start of the day. Each morning the two gentlemen arrive at the range to set up all facilities for guests to enjoy when they arrive.

Here are the 150 yard targets which are the farthest targets on the range. Each range is surrounded by a backstop which is a large mound of dirt that provides a barrier for the safety of shooters and surrounding areas.

Wilborns is continuing to set up a rifle in the correct position in lane two. "Our biggest thing is for someone to come out and have a good time and be safe, we will work with anyone who joins us to guarantee a great experience at the range."

Kevin is showing how the targets will move when hit and change color. The pistol range is a non digital range that provides target practices and shooting challenges for anyone who has a pistol, non pistol guns are not allowed on this range for safety reasons.

The first guests arrive at the pistol range. All guests are required to view a 12 minute safety video and sign a waiver before shooting in the range.

Downs is talking to a guest about his new pistol. All guest with any level of experience are welcome to come to the range and the employees will assist in any way making sure that every shooter is aware of how to use the gun safely before shooting.

Unless guests wish to keep their shells the employees will come around when the range is cold which is when no one is shooting and remains behind the yellow line with a shell pick up or broom to remove shells and avoid guests from tripping on the remnants.
