[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION] Shootin at Open Gym

Open gym takes place at Brookwood private school in Thomasville, Georgia during the week. Boys are encouraged to participate whether they currently play basketball for their school or used to.

Taylor House, 21, ties his shoe to prepare for a game of basketball. Taylor used to play basketball for Thomasville High School before graduating in 2019.

Zacheius, Jay, Taylor and Miguel head on court to get into their positions for the first game. Zacheius, Taylor and Miguel used to play basketball in high school, while Jay currently does.

Zacheius attempts to block Miguel as he dribbles to the basketball goal. The two players played basketball for two rivalry schools.

Taylor watches the two players play one on one. Taylor and Zacheius used to play for the same team at Thomasville High.

Taylor dribbles close to the goal to shoot. Taylor played basketball since elementary school.

Taylor crouches over to rest as they take a break during the game. They rested for about ten minutes.

Zacheius drinks water from his water bottle during the break. "I make sure to bring my water for every open gym, especially when I'm attending more than one a day."

Water bottles sit in the bleachers during the basketball games. Everyone made sure to bring one.

Byrdie attempts to shoot his ball into the goal. Byrdie plays basketball for Brookwood School.

Jay takes a break from a game and shoots some hoops on the other side of the court. Jay plays basketball for County Central High School.

Miguel attempts to redeem the ball. Miguel used to play basketball for County Central High School as well.

Jay continues to shoot around. Jay tends to attend open gym a lot.

Friends of the players watch from the stands. Later on during the game, they went into the weight room to lift weights.

Miguel waits for the ball to come through the hoop after Taylor makes his shot. They played for 15 more minutes.

Taylor attempts a layup. He ended up making the shot. 

Byrdie attempts to block Zacheius' shot. Byrdie tends to attend open gym a lot also.

Jay and Zacheius practices one on one after the game. Jay's high school and Zacheius' old high school are rivalry teams.

Open gym ends around 8 p.m. They held two more sessions that week.
