 By: Salena Manies

This a picture of the practice basketball gym the players practice at. This is an old construction building that is across from the Mill Creek park.

This is the layout and look of the gym. It's not the normal look, but inside it is a pretty decent court size with room for bleachers and a weight station.

This is the gym's scoreboard. The scoreboard is used when there are scrimmage games.

This is Coach Rosby Anderson, he is the head coach of a recreational basketball team. Coach Rosby has been coaching for the past seven years.

Coach Rosby is overseeing some of his players lifting weights. The gym has it's own section of about four to five weight machines.

Coach Rosby is talking to his players about the weights. He was actually telling his players about the importance of upper body strength.

These are the weights that were used in the practice. The weights goes up to 100 pounds.

Coach Rosby is shadowing one of his forwards with the weights. "My power forwards are the main ones that need upper body strength, they must be dominant in the post," according to him.

Coach Rosby is doing a demonstration. He was showing some of the players how to properly lift weights.

Some of the players are helping shadowing each other lifting weights. "I train them so they can train their brothers," Coach Rosby said.

His forwards are lifting weights. The players were switching training stations every 10 minutes.

Coach Rosby set up a skills section for the players. This is one of his guards practicing their ball handling skills with the cones.

Coach Rosby set up a shooting section for his other guards. This was to help with jump shots and post moves.

Coach Rosby is teaching his guard. He was teaching how to pull the rope while drippling the ball to help with hand strength for dribbling.

Coach Rosby is helping his player put on the waist band. The waist controls the ropes that the players have to lift to dribble.

Coach Rosby is talking with his player. He was giving his player encouraging to continue to jump higher.

The players are continuing their tasks. Coach Rosby was multi-tasking at all training stations.

Coach Rosby is watching over his training stations. He was letting some of the players train others.

These are his guards. They are training at station two for ball handling strength.

As basketball practice is ending, it is time for a clean up. All the players were responsible for cleaning up the stations they were at last.
