[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION] - Field Day

 By: Bryce Clenney

The Grey team starts off the first event of today. Tug of War to see who strikes first on the scoreboard.

Ellie Morgan starting off the relay line for the Red team. The Baton Sprints are the first part of the relay.

Lizzie Williams on to the second part of the relay for the White team. This part requires each team member to jump rope 10 times before advancing.

The third part of the field day relay is the "Human Hoop." Two members of the White team work together to get the hula hoop through all their bodies without interlocking limbs.

Jackson Belusko waiting anxiously for his teammate to return. The Blue team was behind by a good bit of points, and he was determined to try and bring them back.

The newly added "Punt Game" for the students of the lower school. This White team full of 2nd graders came ready to play.

1st grader Colin Joslin hopping to the finish line for the Blue team in the "Bean Bag Race."

1st grader Colin almost made it to the finish line. He got so close before taking a pivotal tumble.

Colin's fall before the finish line gave Hailey and the Grey team a second chance. Advancing to beat the Blue and White teams with only a few seconds to spare.

Members of the Blue team strategizing the next part of their field day, "Frisbee Golf." Teammates were required to pass frisbees up and down the field with only allowing 2 steps per throw of the frisbee.

The youngest of the Green team cheering on her older teammates. Kindergarten is first year the students are allowed to participate in field day.

The Blue team left feeling down and out. The scoreboard did not work out in their favor for most of the games in this year's field day.

Cross Mitchell with a big smile helping his teammate Sasha across the finish line. The "Crab Walk" is a very challenging part of field day and requires 2 people putting in equal effort to get the job done.

The Water Balloon Toss Off. Everyone's favorite and most messy part of field day. Teams are required to throw water balloons back and forth in relay fashion without popping the water balloon.

The infamous spinning bat. Most games require the players to spin around the baseball bat a certain number of times and get dizzy before starting.

Herschel Joshi competing for the White team against his Green team foe in the bag toss. Using a hula hoop and sand bags the game resembles an easier version of cornhole.

The Blue team cheering on their teammate and hoping that he can outrun everyone else. They watch anxiously frozen in place for a last second thriller.

If a tie happens between any teams in any grade, field day always ends in the Egg Race. There are no ties in field day and the egg race is the last precaution the teachers use to ensure there is a winner.

The White team racing to beat the Green and Black teams for the three way tie. The White team chose speed over safety.

Slow and steady wins the race, almost. 2nd grader Destiny came up just a few yards short to the eventual 2025 field day champions; the Green Team.
