Seven Byrd stands in the pool, clutching his floatie while the water reaches just above his knees. He’s been easing in slowly for ten minutes, still deciding if he wants to go all the way under. |

All three brothers, Jayce, Jakobe, and Seven, are splashing and falling into the pool at the same time. They’ve been racing to see who can make the biggest splash since they arrived. |

Jakobe doggy paddles across the pool, experimenting with different strokes as he moves. He’s determined to find the fastest way to swim like the people he watches on TV. |
