[Photostory 2: Motion] Tennis Lesson

Ryan is waiting for his first lesson of the day to meet him at the court. He has been teaching tennis since he was a sophmore in highschool.

Ryan warms up before his lesson. Ryan has offers to play D-2 collegiate tennis from 12 different universities but ultimately decided to attend University of Georgia in his parents footsteps.
Reid serves Ryan a ball to help him warm up before his lesson. Reid and Ryan are long time friends and co-workers, the two have known each other for 13 years.

Ryan collects the ball to start the evaluation on Cecilia and Pipers improvement since last lesson. He has taught these two girls tennis for 3 years and also teaches their parents tennis.

Ryan lines his serve up for Piper. Ryan is a 10.8 universal tennis rating (UTR)
Piper follows through on her swing like coach Ryan has been teaching her. Piper is a 4.3 UTR.

Ryan is teaching Cecilia how to volly. "A volly is a crucial part of tennis, most points are won by a strong volly"
Piper gets set to serve to coach ryan with a audience of her parents friend. Piper trains with cecilia twice a week and practices with her team three times a week.

Piper hits a perfect serve that coach ryan was unable to return. "I want to be a pro-tennis player when I grow up, or at least play for the bulldogs."- Piper
Ryan watches Cecilia practice her serve. After Ryan taught Cecilia how important it is to be ready for the unexpected by returning the serve with a powerful volly.

Ryan is in his stance to show Piper how she should be standing as she waits for a serve. Ryans long time coach of 14 years was also named Ryan.

Ryan gets the score board to teach the girls to keep score in matches. The last 20 minutes of Ryans lessons is dedicated to playing a match.
Piper gets ready to start the match. Piper was nervous since Ryan yelled out "I wouldn't go easy on you" Piper yelled back "Your old"

Piper returns a serve from Ryan. The whole match she was unable to return serves from Coach Ryan till this moment.
Piper is learning to follow through on her swings. She has struggled in matches and practices but this moment she did it with out Ryan reminding her.
Ryan notices that Cecilia isnt getting her elbow up high enough on her serves. "The most important aspect of coaching is noticing every small movement"- Ryan
Ryan shuffles to the right to return a ball. Ryan has played with people twice his age due to his UTR score being high, this summer UTM denied him from his usual team due to his high UTR rate.
Ryan is winding up for a fore-hand swing. "forehand swings are my favorite, it allows more power and control on the ball"- Ryan
Ryan laughs as he serves the ball. Cecilia screamed because there was a bug circling her head before he made this serve.

Ryan prepares to serve the game winning point. "Every player has their own routine for serving the ball, the most wild routine I have ever seen is someone did a squat before serving."-Ryan
