[PHOTOSTORY 2: MOTION] Soccer Practice

Aubrey Webb begins one of her weekly soccer practices by kicking around the soccer ball. Aubrey is a sophomore in high school and is currently plays forward on her school's JV soccer team.

Aubrey starts off by kicking the ball across the field. The high school sophomore practices a few times a week in order to keep her skills up.

Aubrey chases the ball down the field after she kicks it. Since soccer requires a lot of running, she tries to stay in shape by running a few miles outside of her practices each week.

She works on her maneuvering skills again to ensure the ball is going in the right direction. Aubrey says that this is a crucial skill her and the rest of team work on at practice.

Aubrey runs after the ball once more. She's says that because she spends so much time practicing and working out, she doesn't get as tired after the practices are over.

This shot contains the ball in mid-air while Aubrey goes after it. Keeping your eye on the ball is one of the key parts of a game.

This photo demonstrates her kicking skills. Aubrey also does leg workouts frequently to keep in shape and to allow the ball to go further.

Aubrey works on maneuvering the ball with her other foot to move it in another direction. Soccer players learn a lot of different foot movements in order to help score goals.

Aubrey performs a move called an "around the world." This popular move is performed by various soccer players both unprofessionally and professionally.

Aubrey runs after the ball again after kicking it in the air. Aside from playing on the high school JV team, she is also apart of a community club soccer team as well. 

Aubrey focuses on the ball to keep track of where it's going. She mentions that being on a club team is a great aspect of soccer, because she can do it in the Fall and Spring seasons. 

Aubrey switches feet to change the direction of the ball. She says this is a useful skill when trying to score a goal.

She tries to keep up with the ball while going down the field. She says that next year she hopes to make the varsity team.

Aubrey practices her kicking skills down the field. The sophomore soccer player has been playing since she was just three-years-old. 

She kicks the ball with her left foot in order to steer it ahead. Aubrey says she goes through several pairs of cleats as they get worn down each season.

Aubrey focuses on the ball right before she kicks it down the field. She says that if she's lucky and works hard, she would love to be offered a soccer scholarship when she goes to college. 

Aubrey get ready to hit the ball. Aside from playing on her high school's team, she loves to interact with kids from other schools on the club team.

Aubrey maneuvers the ball behind her. She says she loves this sport and there's no other activity she would rather be doing.
